Is there an application fee?
Bayonne at Southshore requires a $50 application fee for each intended occupant who is 18 years or older and/or is legally able to enter into a contractual agreement.
How much is the security deposit?
1 bedroom/1 bath & 1 bedroom/1.5 bath apartments require a $300 deposit, 2 bedroom/2 bathroom & 2bedroom/2.5 bathroom apartments require a $400 deposit, and 3 bedroom/3 bathroom apartments require a $500 deposit.
What are the qualifications for applicants?
Applicant(s) must have a satisfactory credit history that will be obtained from a Credit Reporting Agency. A valid Social Security Number and Date of Birth are necessary in order to obtain this information. If credit history has not been established management reserves the right to request a guarantor. Should you not have a Social Security Number you must present as valid identification a passport and visa or tax ID number. Monthly rent shall not exceed 33% (three times the rental rate) of gross monthly income. Verifiable current employment of a permanent status and/or other written proof of consistent income source. Self-employed applicants will be required to produce written proof from their CPA as verification that they meet Income requirements set forth. Verifiable positive residency history for any previous rental verifications. Criminal backgrounds are checked on all applicants.

How can I pay my rent? What forms of payment are acceptable?
Payments made in the office are to be made in the form of check, money order, or cashier check only. Online payments can be made using a check, credit card, or debit card. Cash payments will not be accepted at any time.
When is rent due?
All rent is due payable on the first day of each month and delinquent after 5:00 PM on the 5th day of the month
Is there a late fee for overdue payments? Is there a grace period?
Yes, if rent is not paid by the 5th, a $25 late fee applies, and $5 per day will accrue until full rent is paid. Late fees can total $100.
What are the qualifications - income, credit history checks, criminal history, rental history, etc.
All occupants must provide proof of income of 3x the amount of the monthly rent. Applicant(s) must have satisfactory credit history that will be obtained from credit reporting agency.Criminal backgrounds are checked on all applicants and could result in application being denied. Verifiable postive residency history for any previous rental verifications.

What fees/deposits are due upon applying? Moving in?
$50 non-refundable application fee per applicant 18 years or older. There's a $300-$500 security deposit due within 72 hours of application approval. At move in, the prorated rent will be due and pet fee if applicable.
Do I have to pay first & last month's rent?
No, rent is prorated at move in.
When is rent due and how can I make my rent payment?
Rent is due on the 1st of the month. A grace period extends through the 5th with no late fees. Rent can be paid by check, money order or through the online portal.

Is renter's insurance required?
We do not require our residents to obtain renters insurance but highly encourage them to do so.
What utilities are NOT included in the rent?
All utilities are the responsibility of the resident. None are included in the rent. Each resident is billed separately for their utility usage.

Utilities & parking are not included in rent
What is the average cost for utilities each month?
Utility costs vary based on usage.
Are corporate rentals available?
Yes, corporate rentals are available
What happens if I need to move out before my lease expires?
If you need to move out before your lease ends, we offer a lease cancellation and additional fees will apply.
What are the hours of your Leasing Center?
Fall hours are 8:30 am-5:30 pm. Spring hours are 9 am- 6 pm.
What are the hours for the fitness center?
The fitness center is open 24 hours
What internet service options are available in this area?
Bayonne at Southshore is a Rev community.
Do you have cable?
Yes, cable in our clubhouse.
What property amenities are included?
Our community offers a variety of amenities, including swimming pool, water garden and onsite fitness center
Does this community have a pest control service?
Yes, we provide pest control service.
Are there package lockers/how do I get my packages?
Packages are not accepted in the Information Center. All packages are delivered to our package center. Bayonne at Southshore is not liable for any theft or damages to packages delivered.
Are there restrictions for what can be put on balconies or patios?
Yes, there are restrictions on what can be placed on balconies or patios.
Do you have free internet/WiFi? (Where is it available?)
We do offer free wifi in our clubhouse.
Are concierge services available?
Yes, we provide pest control service.
How do I reserve community amenities?
To reserve community amenities, certain fees and guidelines apply. Please contact our office for details.
Do you allow pets? What is the pet policy?
We allow pets up to 65 pounds with a non-refundable pet fee of $300 for your first pet and an additional $200 for your second pet. Maximum of two pets per apartment home. Pets are limited to cats, caged birds and non-aggressive breeds of dogs. (Aggressive breeds include Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Bull Dogs, German Shepherds, and others. Contact the office for a full list) No reptiles, rodents, insects or spiders of any kind shall be permitted to be kept as pets.

What is the parking situation?
Garage parking is available for residents.
What is the procedure for moving out?
A wriitten 30 day notice is required by the first of the vacating month. The apartment will be inspected and applicable charges will be assessed.
I have a non-emergency maintenance issue. Who do I contact?

What is the smoking policy?
No smoking is allowed inside the building including the interior of the Apartment Homes. No smoking is allowed on any balcony to the extent any smoke emanates to adjacent units or becomes a nuisance.
Does the apartment come with a microwave?
Yes, each apartment home will have a microwave.
Is there a bathtub or just a shower? Are they together or separate?
It depends on the floor plan. Some apartments feature a walk-in shower or a shower/tub combination, while others may include both a separate bathtub and a walk-in shower.
Are stoves gas or electric?

Do kitchen sinks have a garbage disposal?
Yes, kitchen sinks have garbage disposals.
Do apartments have dishwashers?
Yes, each apartment home will have a dishwasher.
